When I played Ocarina of Time many years ago, it blew me away on so many levels! An expansive immersive map with an intricate storyline, clear, real, likeable characters which at the time weren't commonplace in a video game. That was the last Zelda game I played, until now.
However, Skyward Sword has cleared the bar that Ocarina set in my mind all those years ago. This was a game so immersive that when I completed it, almost a month after starting (it really is a huge game), I was genuinely sad to leave behind those characters, and all that action.
This is pure gold as a video game. Intricate puzzles left me feeling like a genius for completing them, (when of course the real geniuses are the ones who design them!). Excellent action is enhanced innovatively beyond that on any previous Zelda game, with the use of the motion plus technology. The story is captivating and contains many twists and turns which kept me hooked!
All in all, there is no way anyone buying or receiveing this game could regret it, it truly is a masterpiece. Whatever the wii may lack in hardware in comparison to the X box or PS3, it certainly makes up for with great titles like this.
Plus... Link has a woman who lives in his sword... and she's hot!
