Stemmed from Britain's own street dance movie, STEP UP, this third instalment packs in visual pop with energetic choreography all set against New York backdrop. Directed by Jon M. Chu from STEP UP 2 THE STREETS. This tells the story of a tightly knitted New York City crew of street dancers who settle their intense rivalry with another local crew at a high-stakes dance battle. NYU freshman Moose, Adam G. Sevani promised his parents that he'd given up dancing to complete his studies but just can't kick the habit after being introduced to the hip-hop styles by another crew leader. Meanwhile Luke, Rick Malambri has his own problems at keeping on top of rent while trying to figure out who's been leaking secretly recorded footage of the dancer's killer moves. Writers Amy Andelson and Emily Meyer drawing from characters created by Duane Adler bring that perfect balance of razzle-dazzle hip-hop sequences with two well-drawn romances.
