Rab C Nesbitt is back and he's got more issues than ever to get off his string-vested chest. Rab faces a daily struggle to keep drink out of his life and let God into it. Plus, now he's a Grandpa, Rab's delighted to become reacquainted with his grand-daughter Peaches. Elsewhere Rab embraces his feminine side and restyles himself as "Candy" as part of his most outrageous social security scam yet. He turns rabble-rouser to fire-up the community when a mobile phone mast drives everyone up the pole. He finds poetry in a Gents urinal at a posh supper for his namesake Rabbie Burns. He tries to stop his best mate murdering his wife. And he racks his brains to offer crumbs of comfort and a last fish supper to an old woman on her deathbed.

The six part series reunites Gregor Fisher as Rab with Elaine C Smith as his long-suffering wife and newly-turned career woman Mary Doll, Tony Roper as Jamesie Cotter, the snake who'll go to any lengths to get a woman into bed and Barbara Rafferty as his Mrs - the acid-tongued Ella Cotter.

Featuring guest appearances from John Gordon Sinclair as Lonny - Rab's partner in crime and women's clothes, David Hayman as sinister Minister Reverend Marr and John Michie as slimy filth magnet Saunders McLure. Plus Iain Robertson joins the cast to take over the role of Rab's son Gash Nesbitt and Cora Bissett pours the pints as Camille the barmaid in Rab's local pub, although it's strictly soft drinks only for the regular in the string vest.
