James Cagney is Nick Condon, an American newspaper editor working in Japan between World War I & World War II. While investigating the double murder of a fellow reporter and his wife, Condon discovers the insidious Tanaka Plan, which plainly states the Japanese aims of World domination. A great film noir from a great period

Cagney is the dogged reporter risking his life to uncover a devious plot by the Japanese government. Interesting film, well worth watching.
