BioWare’s epic fantasy role playing title receives its first fully-fledged expansion, opening up an entirely new part of the fantasy world to explore.

For generations an ancient order of guardians known as the Grey Wardens has protected its lands from the ongoing threat of the darkspawn forces. After slaying the Archdemon, this menace was thought to have been destroyed, but somehow its presence is still being felt across the world. Playing as the Grey Warden Commander, players will be given the task of rebuilding this ancient order and uncovering the reasons for the darkspawn’s newfound power.

Already a rich and detailed game world, Awakening adds the new environment of Amaranthine to Dragon Age for players to explore, dominated by an entirely new breed of darkspawn creations. As players slowly build the Grey Warden order back to its former glory they will be able to construct a base of operations at Vigil’s Keep. As with Dragon Age – Origins, players will be forced to make tough moral choices throughout their quest that will dramatically alter the world around them.

Dragon Age – Origins: Awakening expands the Dragon Age world with a rich and detailed new environment, offering the same brutal combat and mature storylines the original game formed so well.
