Disney adventure based on the characters from the Lewis Carroll classics 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' and 'Through the Looking Glass'.
Mia Wasikowska stars as an aged Alice, who returns to the enchanted world of her childhood to reunite with its odd inhabitants. Alice discovers her destiny as she joins forces with the bizarre residents of Wonderland to overthrow the tyrannical Red Queen once and for all.

Best interpretation I've seen by far.
This is no genteel movie for little children but a much darker version that adds touches of Through the Looking Glass. Beautifully filmed with superb special effects. Maybe this exciting and dramatic story is what Carroll intended. Human actors and animation blend together perfectly.
