Set in the unspoilt American Northwest when the great mammoths still roamed the land Brother Bear follows the incredible journey of Kenai (Joaquin Phoenix), the youngest of three sons. When his oldest brother is lost in a battle with a bear, Kenai, having just been presented with his totem - a symbol from the great guides to guide him through life - ignores the village teachings of brotherhood and tracks the bear down, killing it in revenge. However, in his pursuit of vengeance he is transformed by the great spirits into the very creature he despises - a bear. Forced to see the world through the eyes of his enemy, Kenai begins on his quest to find the mountain where the light touches the earth and regain his human form...
