In the late 1600’s it was customary for the East India Company to bring the King gifts following long voyages. However in 1664, the captain of the Indiamen Red Dragon realised they had forgotten to collect such a gift. They searched in earnest for a suitable gift on board and found 2 pounds of tea. These were presented to King Charles II and a long tradition of royal drinking began.
  • Fine China.
  • Cedar shape.
