Jerry Rothwell's (DEEP WATER) documentary film HEAVY LOAD follows the titular punk band over the course of two years; capturing them on the road and in the studio recording their first album THE QUEEN MOTHER'S DEAD. What sets Heavy Load apart from their hard-rocking brethren is the group's mix of members with and without learning disabilities. Rothwell documents the band's desire to break away from the 'niche' market of disability club nights and move into the mainstream, a desire reflected in their 'don't pity me attitude' and inspiring musical ambition.
