Eidos’ dark and dangerous two-piece return to the criminal underworld in this sequel to the gritty third-person shooter.

Kane & Lynch - Dead Men gave the traditional third-person shooter an interesting twist, placing players into the role of unforgiving and brutal criminal Kane as he hunted for his estranged daughter. Reminiscent of classic films such as Heat and Collateral, Dog Days takes this gritty tone one step further, replacing typically crisp camera angles with a rough-and-ready handheld style. With jumping frames, jarring pixilation and muffled sound effects, footage adds a menacing and realistic feel to each shootout.

Players take control of Kane’s mentally unstable and self-medicated partner, Lynch, now living with his family in Shanghai and dealing with the city’s criminal underworld. While the same third-person mechanics remain intact, gameplay is now far more responsive, allowing players to shoot through debris and dart between cover with Kane at their side, who can also be taken over for co-operative play both online and off.

Kane & Lynch 2 – Dog Days takes an innovative approach to third-person shooting, its handheld feel adding a newfound sense of realism to the urban gunplay of the series.
