Before getting his start as a DJ on the club circuit, Lil Jon was a shy young man with glasses and a skateboard, but eventually he managed to turn his experiences into frenetic party hits. Jon was invited to work for Jermaine Dupris So So Def Records in 1993, and also gained exposure as a radio host. As this documentary on Lil Jon illustrates, he eventually mixed tracks for Too Short, Xscape, Total, and Usher, before introducing the hit-making crunk trio of Lil Jon & the Eastside Boyz with Big Sam and Lil Bo.
