National Geographic documentary. The National Geographic team accompany photographer Steve McCurry on a worldwide search for the mysterious 'Afghan Girl' who captivated the world in a photograph on the magazine's cover in 1984. With a lot of detective work and a little luck, the team finds a woman they think could be the one they are looking for. To confirm that she is the same person, they use state-of-the-art iris recognition, FBI facial recognition techniques and technology used by the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children. Sigourney Weaver narrates.
