Though much of Judaeo-Christian society tends to associate the occult with something dark, sinister and evil, this program argues quite the opposite. Springboarding from the literal definition of the 'occult' as 'hidden knowledge,' the film attempts to put a positive spin on contemporary occultic behavior and activity by associating it with sources of long-sought wisdom and a deep, elusive level of alternate reality. To bring these ideas across, the documentary brings in occultic philosophers including Brian Allan, O.H. Krill and James Earnshaw - who systematically tie occultic thought to such pagan practices as ritual magick and shamanism.
