Review
One of the most chilling and unforgettable horror films ever. Dr. Markway (Richard Johnson) is an anthropologist with a special interest in psychic phenomena who wants to try a true exercise in terror. Intrigued by the legend of Hill House, he invites two women, psychic researchers Eleanor (Julie Harris) and Theodora (Claire Bloom), to join him in his adventure.

Customer Reviews
It's scary because it's so believable
Forget the remake with special effects this is the definitive version. The lack of colour just adds to the atmosphere. Great one liners; "Hill House has stood for 90 years and should stand for 90 more and we who walk here walk alone", one guest says "have you noticed how things move just out the corner of your eye". There are no cliches or special effects in this haunted house. You must watch it.
