Tony Jordan's unique take on the story of the Nativity explores the troubled times of Roman occupied Palestine, bringing legend to life but rooting the action in a world we can all recognise and understand. Mary is a seemingly ordinary, spirited 16-year-old girl, who counts her blessings when her parents arrange to marry her to a local carpenter, Joseph. At her father's desperate plea, Joseph nevertheless agrees to save Mary by allowing her to travel with him to a faraway town... Bethlehem.
