From the late 1930s to the early 1940s George Formby was one of Britain’s best loved entertainers. An all singing, all dancing, slapstick comedy genius. Thanks to his far fetched plots and perfect comic timing in such films as Come On George, Let George Do It, Bell Bottom George, South American George and George On Civvy Street, George Forman remains a legend of British Comedy with a strong and faithful following.

Trouble Brewing is one of George Formby’s most popular and well know movies. George plays an office worker in a daily tabloid who dreams of being a private detective. After winning a bundle of counterfeit money on the horses, George decides to go undercover in the hope of tracking down the criminals responsible for the fake notes. The chase is on as good old George clambers from one hilarious situation to the next. Brilliantly farcical and extremely entertaining, George Formby’s Trouble Brewing also features the hit songs Hitting The High Spots Now, Horoscope and Fanlight Fanny.
