BaseTrade Fees
BaseTrade allows third party sellers to list their items for sale on the base.com website.
Buyers do not incur any additional charges for purchasing from a BaseTrade seller.
Seller's commission on sales
A seller will pay a commission fee of 9% of the sale price of any item they sell.
Professional Sellers
Professional sellers can make a monthly payment of £19.99 which provides access to the BaseTrade API, allowing them to automate the listing of items and the collection and processing of customer orders.
Accessing the funds from your BaseTrade seller account
When you make a sale on BaseTrade, the cash from the sale, minus any fees, is deposited into your base.com cash account. You can transfer the money from your base.com cash account to your bank account, or, you can use the cash to buy items from base.com.
If you choose to withdraw cash from your cash account, we transfer the cash directly into your bank account, minus a transfer fee of 3% of the amount transferred. For example, if you transfer £20 from your cash account, we will deposit £19.40 into your bank account after deducting a 3% (£0.60) transfer fee.
Funds are available to be withdrawn 14 days after the sale is made. This allows you to keep a Reserve in your account against returns, customer claims and so on.
If you use the money in your cash account to buy items from base.com, you do not incur any additional fees. If you have £20 in your cash account, then all of this £20 can be used toward buying items on the base.com site.
The minimum withdrawal amount is £40.00. You cannot make a withdrawal until you have this amount of funds in your cash account.

1. Fees if the cash is withdrawn to your bank account.
- You list an item with a £10 sale price on BaseTrade.
- When the item is purchased, we deduct 9% commission from the £10 sale price (£0.90) and deposit £9.10 in your cash account.
- You request to withdraw £9.10 from your cash account to your bank account.
- We deduct a 3% transfer fee from the £9.10 requested (£0.273) and transfer £8.83 to your bank account.
- Total fees equal £1.17 or 11.7% of the sale price.
2. Fees if the cash is used to purchase from base.com.
- You list an item with a £10 sale price on BaseTrade.
- When the item is purchased, we deduct 9% commission from the £10 sale price (£0.90) and deposit £9.10 in your cash account.
- You purchase an item from base.com using all of the £9.10 in your cash account.
- Total fees equal £0.90 or 9% of the sale price.

All of our fees include VAT where applicable.
