Bridging the gap between the original Assassin’s Creed and its sequel, Bloodlines sees assassin Altair travel to Cyprus to assassinate the remaining members of the templars.

While Assassin’s Creed II may have moved onto an entirely new timeframe, Assassin’s Creed – Bloodlines picks up shortly after the events of the original game, seeing Altair travel from the Holy Lands of Assassin’s Creed to Cyprus in the hopes of destroying the remnants of the secret order, the templars. Bloodlines manages to keep many of the gameplay features that have made Assassin’s Creed so popular intact for this portable edition, with Altair’s ability to free run across surfaces dynamically still firmly in place.

Visually, the PSP is pushed to its limit to recreate the expansive landscapes and dense citizen population of the original Assassin’s Creed. Bloodlines can also be linked directly to Assassin’s Creed II, using the PSP’s connectivity features to unlock health and weapons upgrades across both platforms.

Making few concessions on its way to Sony’s handheld, Assassin’s Creed – Bloodlines recreates the vast landscapes and stealth mechanics of the original title, continuing the storyline of its main character.
