Sackboy makes his way onto Sony’s handheld in this portable rendition of the community-driven platformer.

PlayStation 3’s LittleBigPlanet brought a sense of community to the world of platformers by giving players a selection of simple tools to help create their own weird and wonderful levels and share them online. On PSP, LittleBigPlanet keeps the same charming art style, and provides 30 new levels taken from seven themed locations. A series of tricky platforming segments and puzzles are on hand to help players learn the skills needed to build their own level creations and tackle the countless others available online.

Rather than limit players to a separate editing area, LittleBigPlanet offers a simple ‘Popit’ system that allows levels to be build from within, letting players test and explore their creations as they build. A series of templates ensure that players can put together basic levels within minutes. Once players are happy with their levels they can be uploaded online for others to rate and share.

LittleBigPlanet has lost none of its charm and creativity during its move to the PSP, once more setting players loose among a never-ending host of user creations.
