Product Description

The tension is unrelenting in this powerful crime drama, starring Michael Medwin as an innocent man standing trial for murder under the weight of apparently damning evidence. one of British cinema's most prolific and versatile, yet critically neglected, figures director Lance Comfort's body of work - typically tightly scheduled B-movies - has undergone re-appraisal only relatively recently; presented here in a brand-new transfer from original film elements, Bang! You're Dead showcases both his innovative style and compellingly dark vision.

Two small boys are playing in a wood. The younger boy has a revolver and, not understanding that the gun differs from his toy pistol, plays 'highwayman' on the road and holds up a cyclist; the gun goes off, killing the cyclist. The body and the gun are found by Bob Carter, who had recently quarrelled with the victim in the presence of their workmates, and both men had uttered threats. The evidence is strong, and Bob is arrested for murder...
