The River Nile, Uganda

John Wilson`s Fishing Safari follows one of the UK`s best known anglers on an exotic odyssey exploring the waters and wildlife of six of the world`s most exciting fishing destinations. John`s fishing safari takes him across the globe in search of the most exhilarating and acrobatic species of fish that can be caught on rod and line including the bronze whaler shark, Wels catfish, tigerfish, tarpon, Pacific salmon and Nile perch.

More than a fishing series, John Wilson`s Fishing Safari visits some of the most abundant fishing and wildlife locations in the world. The spectacular landscapes and incredible array of species provide a feast of exotic treats for fishing and wildlife fans alike. Hippopotami, chimpanzee, pelicans, crocodiles and native fur seals are just some of the many animals John encounters on his travels.

John continues his global quest to catch, on line and rod, some of the world`s most acrobatic species of fish. Included in this part of his spectacular trip is his visit to Murchison Falls on the River Nile in Uganda, famed as the location in King Solomon`s Mines, where he fishes for Nile perch and the local variety of catfish, the semenendu.
