life. Taking a job in a local shop she is attracted to Adam (Hudson) despite his
blinkered racism being encourage by his family and friends.
Naseema's older brother Yousef (Zakir) is sick of putting up with the bigots in
the town, confronting the mounting violence and is insistent that his sister
conform to his idea of what a good Muslim girl should be. But his attitudes
toward religion, race and women is revealed as being questionable when he
embarks on a relationship with the feisty Michelle (Burley).
