Roman Polanski directs this absurdist and somewhat kinky comedy adventure loosely based on Alice in Wonderland, starring Sydne Rome as Nancy, a young American woman travelling through Italy who falls into all sorts of sexual scrapes and seductions. Marcello Mastroianni co-stars as the Mad Hatter, while Polanski himself appears as a rampant March hare. Since its controversial release in the early 1970s, the film remains one of Polanski's more obscure works, although it has achieved a cult status of sorts over the years. Based on: Lewis Carroll's 'Alice in Wonderland' Starring: Marcello Mastroianni, Sydne Rome, Hugh Griffith, Guido Alberti, Gianfranco Piacentini, Roman Polanski Directed by: Roman Polanski Music by: Claudio Gizzi Produced by: Carlo Ponti Written by: Roman Polanski, Gerard Brach
